(Thank God It's Friday)

Today I'll be doing something I don't usually do and that is to talk about someone. 

My victim is one of the designers I have the pleasure of collaborating with, 

Ms. Sandie Saenz from FA Creations.

What brought me to this was one of her Flickr photos, actually, the very first one in her Flickr stream

titled "Old Stuff".  What I love about this photo is that it is the one Ms. Sandie uses as her Buddy Icon

for her Flickr. Every time I see it I smile. I really don't know why she has chosen this particular photo 

to be her introduction image but the following is what I feel and believe;

I believe  that she does it as a reminder of her SL roots, of 

"Look how far I have gotten and how much I have changed and achieved,

but this is where I, Sandie, started, this was the beginning of something wonderful!" 

Ok, so these are my words, not those of Sandie's since I haven't really asked her about the reason

for "Old Stuff", but this is the message I get every time Sandie visits me on Flickr, and I see her photo. ♥

This was my very first SL profile photo taken by no other than Strawberry Singh 

(Photographer & SL Blogger). It was taken right after I started Second Life and given to me as a gift

from her and Catero Revolution, my creator and mentor.

At the beginning of SL, I was obsessed with wearing glasses even though I didn't wear any in RL.

The funny thing is that now that I need reading glasses in RL I am no longer into glasses in SL, 

go figure!

I've been through a million changes during my three years in SL. I'd like to believe that they've

 all been minor changes, nothing too drastic. Still, I feel very proud of the improvements I have made

and can't help feeling proud and good about myself. Still, I keep my feet on the ground,

never forgetting where I came from, a shy and lonesome girl from a small town that wasn't aware that

she had strong wings to fly.

I would like to thank my blog admin for keeping the blog running while I was gone. I am back 

but will not be around SL as much as before, soon I will start working in a new business

that I have been contemplating for some time now and I am really excited about. My time in SL 

will be significantly reduced and only invested in the blog. For me it is a real fortune to be collaborating

with my sponsors and never in a million years would I stop blogging for them, for you, and for me ;)

Also, I would like to give a HUGE welcome to my SL sister, Valkiria Fox, for now being an official

author for the blog. In response to the emails I have received saying that Valki is copying my blogging

style and writing, I would like to clear this out. I had been posting for her since she started writing for

us, that is why her post format looked like mine. Just this past Friday she was officially added to the

blog and she will be contributing her excellent work to share with us adding the spicy side to the blog.

We will be like sugar & spice, a dynamic team and I am very excited about this too. Love you sis! ❤

SECOND LIFE GIFTS... Written by Valkiria Fox

One of the nice things on Second Life is to receive gifts! This week my dear friend Sweet gave me a beautiful lingerie in my favorite colors: black and red. I was very happy with the surprise as I love lingeries, and she could not have done a better choice on the style! Thank you, Sweet ^_^ That made me think about all the gifts that I had already received in SL. I actually have a folder on my Inventory where I keep all the things I was gifted with, even the ones given by unknown people (what I hardly recommend you not to accept, you never know what can be inside) when I was crazy or naive enough to accept them. You can find Teddy bears, flowers, cards, pictures, dresses, animations, poses, hair, pets and many kinds of things there.

The first gift I received on SL was my AO, that was really a good gift if you think that I have always used the same since I am Valki. Many people already stopped me to ask where I had bought that AO, so I believe they may have liked it as I do. The most curious item on my gift folder?

 Not 1, but 2: a horse and a church. The worst? Army outfits (what I am supposed to do with that??). And yes, I won that more than once and from different people. Do I look serious like a General? I hope not :p

But there is a better thing than to receive gifts: to gift someone! That always fulls my heart with love. Since I was a small child I learned from my parents: "We only gift who we love." But not always I follow that rule, even thought I do in 99% of the situations. That's one of the reasons that makes me like GACHA machines so much. The items are usually transfer, so I can give the repeated ones to other people. And I also participate of my dear Sis Lori movement of  "Transfer At Least Once", that would recommends that most SL items should be as the name says, transferable at least one time. So we can use and share, and not fulfill our Inventories of a thousand things we already used or that do not fits on us, or that we bought twice by accident. That would make who gives and who receives happy, and also could be good to promote the store where the item was bought.

1- This hunt is free and open to public (no group membership required)

2- The object you are looking for is a pair of cherries with a steam and leaf on the top (like the sample located at the entrance)

3- To receive the gift, simple touch the cherries. You will be given an object that can be worn to unpack. 

4- The cherries are numbered from 1 to 20. 

5- There are no hints given. They are on plain sight. Very easy to find and this is more for the fun of it than anything else. 

6- The cherries have been hidden in the three stores. The cherries hanging of the ceiling are an indicator that there are cherries hidden in that room. Always ground floor, no second levels. No outdoors. 

7- It is MANDATORY to HAVE FUN! Bring your friends, family, loved ones and enjoy!

And this time it made Valki double happy ^_^: I LOVE wedding dresses!  Thank you!

And this one is astonishing! I thought many times in my life about working with brides and doing

their dresses. There may not be a better thing than working with someone's dream and I am so romantic!

My passion for dresses started when I was a small child. I wanted to go to school wearing a dress, like

all the other girls, but I couldn't :( My mother always said: "If you want to wear a dress you must

behave like the other girls. I cannot buy you for the day!"

Yes, because where I lived it was a cooler city, and it was not possible to wear a dress without some

wool thick tights. And also, I didn't want to be seated in a chair like the other girls! I wanted to run, to

catch the boys, to throw sand on my hair, to play as a boy. So my mother dressed me in those horrible

rompers and I was sad. Even some of my girl colleagues discriminated against me because of my

rompers. Some lied to the teachers about things that I was not doing, and guess what was the

punishment...to sit at the boy's table. Girls were separated from boys at different tables. But I liked it!

Now that I grew up, I think all that thing is still in my unconsciousness, because I have a hard fall for

dresses and skirts, and wedding dresses are the top of the tops! They are always so glamorous, delicate,

and beautiful! And I always live in a conflict when I have to dress. I liked boys' clothes and I like cute

dresses. When a teenager I loved my blue hair, showing boxers and skater trousers. Today my hair is not

blue anymore and I substituted the skater trousers for cargo pants. Or I use the most delicate, little girl

cute dress. I am lost in the middle of that. But maybe that only reflects my personality and I can say 

that I am fine with myself nowadays ^_^

It was a great surprise when my dear Sis Lori called me to dance with her at the Tempura's 

dance circle last Friday. That dance circle is the same that you can find at Elven's Forest and it has

beautiful dances, it's always so relaxing ^_^

So Lori and I were dancing and talking in the company of a dancing tree and a woman 

with a so huge cat that we thought he was an avatar and not a pet. 

Suddenly I received an IM from an unknown man. I had to save the speech;

the man: -Country where you live?

me: - Brazil, and you?

the man: -thailand -i was asian

me: -was or still are? -hehehe

the man: -I do not understand >>>>> was or still are?

me: -never mind. You said you were asian in the past, but not anymore.

You don't speak English, do you?

the man: -I used google translation

me: -I understand -sorry

the man: -^^  -Brazil World Cup tournament

me: -Are you coming to Brazil to see?

the man: -Brazil is far much

me: -yes, it's true ^_^

the man: -how old are you ?

me: -33

the man: -i am 30  -^^

me: -oh, nice ^_^ -what do you like to do on second life?

the man: -I want a girlfriend in sl -But I can not find

me: -I understand. If I had a single friend I would introduce to you -I have a boyfriend

So this proves the theory that in SL you can always find funny and weird people,

and also that builders should do a translator that worked on ims too :p

Dear Second Life,

My question tonight is not rather you dream in color or in black and white,

but more like...

are your dreaming real-life dreams or has Second Life taken over your sleeping head?

How about a mixture of both? Do both virtual and reality come together and create 

a whole new life while you sleep?

I myself noticed an increase of Second Life dreams but thankfully only once have both 

lives crossed paths in my sleep.

But now let's take the question in a different direction,

How about having control over what you are dreaming of? 

I bet that would be ideal for anyone. My friend Blue Ryder was telling me about 

The Aurora Dream Enhancing Headband allows you to take control of your dreams 

while you sleep and I thought how wonderful that would be. I know exactly what I would like to

dream about every night, but I am not telling ;)

I'm having one of those days REALLY!
