Take A Sad Song And Make It Better

Featuring
Boudoir

Dear Second Life,
Thankfully, I gathered enough strength to put this post together for you last night
which gives me the chance to start a Beatles tribute in the blog in celebration of their first visit to the
USA, 50 years ago, this past Sunday. I will be sharing their music in my posts in the days that follow,
using cover versions of their songs.

Hey Jude * Beatles
Hey Jude * Cover Version by a toddler (Cute)
Hey Jude * GLEE Full Performance

These are my favorite lines from this beautiful song's lyrics.

"Take a sad song and make it better."
I have learned in life that my problems or sadness can't be used as excuses to fight for a better life.
I will not waste my days feeling sorry for myself or blaming others for my misfortunes.
I will not allow bitterness or defeat to be part of my life
and I refuse to be a victim of anything or of anyone!
I will be a survivor of any circumstance. Any bad experience of any kind,
I take as lessons but most of all, as motivations to aim for something better in life,
and I can sure put a good fight.

This is my interpretation of these lyrics.
Don't settle for the sad moments, the troubled moments, or the hardships in life.
Don't allow them to be permanent!
Use them as strength, guidance, and motivation. And as I mentioned many times before,
all negativity that you encounter, use as a trampoline to help you jump to reach for higher
and better things. They can be eye-openers and lessons that will help you to become a much wiser
and stronger person. They may just be the push you need to succeed in life.

"Don't carry the world upon your shoulders."
My interpretation of this line is very simple and clear to me,
"Don't mind the little things in life". By this, I am saying
that not everything has to be a problem, or at least not a problem so big that it can't be resolved.
We also have to understand that we are only humans and not some superhero or magician that can
defeat with a punch or make disappear all our problems.
There are things we can change and solve, others may be harder, yet resolvable.
But then there are those things that no matter how hard you work on, can't and will not be solved.
Still, life WILL continue even with those unresolvable problems and we must
learn to live with them, just as we do with the grief of losing someone we loved to death.
The pain of losing them will not go away or minimize, but with time, we learn to live with it,
and then we can continue a productive and happy life.
Same thing with the things we cannot change.

For this, I have a prayer that I always like to share and I have shared it before in the blog.
It is my favorite prayer and I always keep it in sight in every room of my home.

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

HA, not really!
I have never tried matching lonely hearts. I would probably do a lousy job at it
and end up making love matches way off and instead of bringing tingles to their hearts, it would be
more like heartburn.

However,
this beautiful

has gotten me so excited since it is my comeback to posting for Boudoir once again.

Boudoir, which was named Vita's Boudoir back when I was introduced to it by my SL sister,
Poppy Ghostraven, was the very first store I fell in love with when I started Second Life.
I had the pleasure of being introduced to Vitabela. by Poppy and immediately became a huge fan of her designs.
Later in time, I met Vitabela's sister (RL) Precious Restless and the rest is history.
Both sisters are not only SL designers but also in RL. Here is a video of one of
their shows back in October 2012...
