Suddenly, there she was once again,
like an apparition from the past,
entering timidly in silence through the rear door.
careful not to make a sound and draw any attention to herself.
Yet her steps were firm and steady
because she knew exactly where she wanted to go
and that was to the very center of InWorld.
That had been the place where she had left off months and months ago and
where her Pixel life had come to a pause in a deep, prolonged sleep.
Now, the resume button had been clicked once again
waking her up like an alarm clock to let her know it was time to
continue with the journey she had set out for herself
years before when she had created another life for herself
in a different world.
However, everything and everyone felt strange to her,
as if she was entering an alienating world,
and though it made her feel out of place
like an old puzzle piece trying to fill an empty space in a brand new puzzle,
this didn't scare or intimidate her for a second.
She was aware that rediscovering and adjusting to how SLife was now
and learning the essentials for her survival would take some time,
but she also knew with certainty that she could do it.
Nothing had ever stopped her before from reaching her goals
so why would it now?
She continued walking deeper Inworld,
dismissing the sense of awkwardness due to her unfamiliar surroundings
and with every step she took, she gathered more and more confidence,
allowing her to breathe again without any struggles and giving life back to her Pixel soul.
Gradually, her presence started blending in with her surroundings
until becoming one with the InWorld,
and with a smile, she left out a soft whisper...

Speaking of "a stranger", this song that I am using for this post is one that
I heard just yesterday for the very first time played by this amazing string band called Crooked Still.
I love their folk-country and bluegrass style so much that for some reason I want a banjo now.
