Hello Beautiful World!
Earlier today as I was exploring I came upon a gentleman that IM'ed me to let me know how much
he liked my Flickr stream. I thank him politely and continued exploring in search of beautiful spots to
photograph and share with you. However, for some reason, the gentleman seemed to think that by
thanking him I was inviting him for something more. I had to keep explaining to him that I was
there to work on my blog and nothing more. After several attempts, he finally understood and went
on his way but not before he left me with the following comments that went something like this...
"I just hope you look as beautiful in RL as you are in Second Life."
His words made me feel as if he wouldn't have wanted to have wasted his time and attempts to get my
attention if I wasn't an attractive woman in RL. Not really a very nice and polite thing to say.
It is sad to see how some people put so much emphasis on physical looks rather than the beauty
that really matters. I understand that what we see first in every person is the exterior since we are
looking with our eyes. The heart and brain (intelligence) are what is needed to be able to look deeper
and be able to see all the beauty every human carries inside.
Anyways, I am giving this gentleman the benefit of the doubt and presume he had no shallow
intention in his comment but merely stating an innocent curiosity.
But just in case he is really interested in knowing if I am RL beautiful like my SL avatar, he should be
asking my Steppenwolf. By asking me I might just straight-up lie and say I am the most beautiful
creature to ever walk on the face of the earth or I have a face that not even a mother could love. :P
