Logos, Chains & Shine

WEEKEND SHOPPING

Hello Beautiful World!
With Friday finally here it can only mean one thing, is shopping time!!!
Now what is a wife to do when her husband is having female friends stay over at his place for the
weekend? I can think of one good thing for sure, while he entertains his female guests
with nice dinners and drinks, I'll entertain myself shopping for pretty things all weekend long. :P
Let the fun begin!

Before we start, let me share my beautiful location with you.
Welcome, this is EAMONI Mainstore (Moderate)
Female Footwear & Accessories   Designer  ღGiα Gσŕјεsღ (beauti.core)
150L Fee to Join Group (Gifts - 15% Off Discounts - New Releases Random Fatpack Give-Aways)

The awesome Raja Skates that I am wearing are from EAMONI.
They are on this weekend's 99Sale and available in 10 colors.

This is a very beautiful location to explore. There are so many great spots ideal for photo shooting
and that is why I couldn't help turning what was supposed to be just a Weekend Shopping blog post to
also an Exploring Second Life. So you are getting two for the price of one. ;)

For this shopping weekend, I would like to talk about logos, chains, and shine in fashion.
These are the three things that I am really careful about when it comes to selecting good items to buy.

Let me start first with logos, I absolutely hate them. I don't like my clothing or accessories to
be branded with a store or designer's name/logo/symbol. It makes me feel like I am a walking
advertisement, a billboard with legs. I don't mind if such names/logos/symbols are very small and
almost unnoticeable. In that case, I have no problem purchasing the item/items. However, I have made
a few exceptions from time to time in the past, when the name/logo/symbol was so beautifully
executed that instead of looking like a logo, it looked more like a beautiful embellishing
touch to the item.

Now chains, that one takes careful inspection on my part. I can honestly say that most of the
time, any clothes or accessories I have come across that have chain/chains on them, the chains are most
likely to be poorly executed on the link of the hoops or/and may appear too big to fit on the shoulder,
waist, etc. I usually stay away from chain/fashion unless it is something too amazing to let it pass,
then I will carefully inspect the item to make sure the chain part looks satisfactory
to my chain standers. :P I do have some very beautiful pieces in my inventory where I actually loved
the chain part on them because of how well they were created. One of those pieces is my pair of
"Knee Tear Chain Denim" by Gabriel.

And finally, shine. The shine I am referring to when it comes to fashion is not the shine that is expected
in items that are supposed to look like latex, silk, wet, sequence, glitter, etc. I am referring to pieces
whose texture looks more like they were made with plastic bags. Even worse, some clothing actually
looks like hard plastic on the body making us look like people wearing Lego clothing.
There is no softness to the textures to make them look more realistic.

I am sure that being a designer and creating things in Second Life must be very hard to do and time
consuming and for that, I give them all a big shout-out, for their dedication to creating beautiful
things for us to wear. I also know that just as I look for things that I like and don't like in the things
I want to buy, will be very different for other people. There are many different tastes for different things.
Just wanted to share my personal likes and dislikes when it comes to the things that I buy.

Now before I go, please, I ask that you continue to keep my good friend Lysistrata in your prayers.
She suffers from heart problems and on Monday she had a procedure done but unfortunately, the results
were not as we were hoping. I trust that with all our prayers she will be ok and as I told her,
in a month or two, we will be remembering this day while we are having fun painting this town
(Second Life) red. ;)

Much love,
Lori Novo
