MO GHILE MEAR (My Gallant Darling)

Featuring
BOUDOIR

Dear Second Life,

As you all already know every year on March 17, many of us across the globe observe St. Patrick's Day, the Apostle of Ireland.
Celebrating this Irish holiday with parades and lots of dancing, which are the highlights of the festivities and wearing green, lots and lots
of it. Green is one of the three colors in the Irish flag, the color of the shamrock and, not to mention, the Emerald Isle's (Ireland) beautiful
green landscapes. Green is the special color for the holiday. It is believed that originally, blue was the color but was changed in the 17th century to green.

Now, wearing green on that holiday is not only part of the tradition, but in America we have our own tradition of pinching anyone we catch not wearing at least a speck of green on this day. But why the pinching you may ask? Well, It was believed, according to an old Irish legend that anyone wearing green became invisible to leprechauns who are known to love pinching humans.

Our wearing green tradition doesn't necessary means we need to be covered in green to protect ourselves, but wearing any piece of green garment or accessory that is noticeable to the eye is good enough. However, part of the fun is wearing as much green as your body allows it ;)

Thanks to

the holiday looking spectacular in green.

Good Night Beautiful World and as the Irish say...

"Here's to me, and here's to you. And here's to love and laughter.
I'll be true as long as you. And not one moment after."

Mo Ghile Mear (My Gallant Darling) performed by Orla Fallon

Irish Gaelic lyrics:
Sé mo laoch mo Ghile Mear
'Sé mo Shaesar, Ghile Mear,
Suan ná séan ní bhfuaireas féin
Ó chuaigh i gcéin mo Ghile Mear

Bímse buan ar buairt gach ló,
Ag caoi go cruaidh 's ag tuar na ndeor
Mar scaoileadh uaim an buachaill beo
'S ná ríomhtar tuairisc uaidh, mo bhrón

Sé mo laoch mo Ghile Mear
'Sé mo Shaesar, Ghile Mear,
Suan ná séan ní bhfuaireas féin
Ó chuaigh i gcéin mo Ghile Mear

Sé mo laoch mo Ghile Mear
'Sé mo Shaesar, Ghile Mear,
Suan ná séan ní bhfuaireas féin
Ó chuaigh i gcéin mo Ghile Mear

English translation:
My hero is my darling
He is my Shaesar, darling,
Rest or pleasure I did not
Since he went far away my darling

Bímse concern lasting all day,
By hardy Weeping 's forecast of tears
As I released the boy alive
'S is calculated from him, my sorrow

My hero is my darling
He is my Shaesar, darling,
Rest or pleasure I did not
Since he went far away my darling

My hero is my darling
He is my Shaesar, darling,
Rest or pleasure I did not
Since he went far away my darling
