I am not alone...

I have you to keep me company.

From your lips, I will never hear any lies,

for your lips never say a word

and yet

just by looking at you, I know what's in your heart.

All your dreams, and fears, and emotions

are simply a reflection of my own.

I am not alone.

 I know that you feel my joy

and you feel my pain.

I have seen on you the brightest smile when I am happy.

But I have also seen the tears fall from your eyes when I am sad.

Sometimes I see in you a beauty that puts a smile on my face.

But then, there are those times when I can't stand to see you,

So I avoid seeing your face.

Now...

as I look at you

I see in you the sadness and the tears...

and so I dry my eyes as I walk away.
