Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view,
And nothing else matters...

And then, I opened my eyes and the first words out of my mouth were, F*CK IT!
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
Hello Beautiful World!
After months and months of fighting a self-created battle in my head, this morning I woke up with
a very clear answer to what has been one of the things that have been tormenting me.
I tend to dwell intensively sometimes on minor things.
Many times we are the creators of our demons wouldn't you agree?
Grab that bull by the horns and show it who's the boss!
Life shouldn't be so difficult when it comes to decision-making on the things that are meant to bring
us joy. Once something starts feeling more like a burden rather than a pleasant task then it is time
to abandon-ship or at least take it in a different direction.
I chose this time a different direction. I am not ready to abandon ship just yet, that
will most likely be decided on how much life my computer has left in it. I can almost hear my poor
Mac screaming in agony and fearing the end is coming soon. Once that happens maybe it will be
time to take a long, long break from Second Life until I can save enough for a new machine.
That would take me approximately... let's see, $5 to $10 dollars saved a month...
you do the math. :P
My Mac is very old, it has reached the grandparent stage at this point
but keeps trying to act like it still can perform, but who are we fooling really. For every picture you
see here in this blog post (21 to be exact) there were at least 4 to 10 disastrous ones in-between each camera click.
Small example below.
I know I know, the horror and the frustration.
This photoshoot took approximately five hours to be completed, with many crashes, freezes, etc.
But going back to where we started.
Many people ask what is the purpose in life and the answer for me is to be happy.
To do everything possible to feel happy in what we do even if this means many times
letting go of the things that no longer can be effectively applied to the new plans and goals we
set for ourselves, even if these things once served us greatly. Times change and change
always bring new and different things and therefore will require new tools and methods
to be applied.
Let Go of What Weighs You Down!
By not allowing ourselves to castaway these things that are keeping us down or stuck in
place when we feel ready to move on, mental weight will begin to build over time. This will clutter
our heads with unnecessary worries and fears which can affect every other area of our lives
resulting in an unhappy life.
Sometimes we stay stuck in an unsatisfied area in life when we feel obligated to keep the image
and fulfill the expectations others have on us. This is when we are no longer living our lives for
ourselves, but for others. This is another way of gaining invisible mental weight that goes
unnoticeable to others, but for us is a very heavy load to carry.
So finally this morning I said "f*ck it, I do what I want",
and I set myself free from the mental weight I had been carrying for a while.
One self-created monster down and a hundred more to go.
Hey, that's a start. Remember, one monster at a time,
I am not Superwoman even though my Steppenwolf thinks so. ;)
So after I woke up this morning with a clearer head and a determined mind I thought what better way
than to celebrate my new decision by welcoming this year's Autumn to the blog.
Welcome, this is NELIPOT (Moderate)
Really what a fantastic way to begin roam-ancing new sims than with this
beautiful location.
As you all already know, one of the highlights for me in my explorations is the opportunity it gives me
to see new faces and meet new great people. I feel so honored each time someone grants me permission
to add their picture to my blog posts, beautifying and making them much special.
On this occasion, I had the pleasure of meeting two beautiful and lovely ladies and a very nice gentleman.
I first noticed Savana- (loev78) from Italy, who set quietly enjoying the beautiful scenery.
The thing that attracted me to her the most was her beautiful big expressive eyes.
È stato un piacere conoscerti oggi Savana, grazie. ❤
Savana started SL photography over a year ago and though she is still very new to this art, she
is already showing such talent in her beautiful work. HERE you can check out her Flickr stream.
And this beautiful girl is the very talented SL Blogger and Photographer Emelia Faye (hermionelol)
from... umm, some part of the world :O
Ok ok, I don't know where she is from, give me a break >:(
I actually interrupted her work to say hello. However, she didn't mind at all and we ended up
having a very nice chat. Emilia is very friendly and sweet and made me feel as if we were old friends,
which is a very beautiful quality to have to make strangers feel welcomed.
She was there taking pictures for her blog which you can check
Truly an amazing photographer and blogger and a big inspiration. I couldn't help but smile when
I noticed a quote she has on her profile on her 1st Life...
"Love the life you live. Live the life you love."
Just what I was talking about, couldn't agree more. ;)
Thank you Emelia for your kindness! ❤
The third amazing person I had the honor of running into in this beautiful sim was
SL Photographer Rion Melodious from Japan. When I first saw him I couldn't help noticing
his amazing look, from his avatar to what he was wearing. At first, I approached him feeling
a bit intimidated but found myself attracted to his outstanding presence and wasn't sure what
the outcome would be, but it was worth the try. Luckily, Rion is amazingly friendly and kind.
HERE you can check out his beautiful work on Flickr.
本日はお会いできて光栄でした、ありがとうございました。❤
Another highlight for me was a group of sheep that were in the land which is something I always
have love to see in Second Life, A funny fact about my early years in Second Life was that I would
visit different sims during the day just to look for these beautiful animals.
Now, sheep weren't the only animal that tickled my heart during my visit.
I spotted this beautiful Saint Bernard from a mile away and I literally ran to his side.
He kept me so entertained for a good while that I almost forgot that I still needed most
of this beautiful sim to explore.
I know, long post but we are almost done. ;)
As I continued exploring I came upon many beautiful spots that had a serene appeal for their simplicity.
Not every great sim has to be overly put together to make it good. The land needs space to breathe too
and Nelipot surely falls in this catagory, serene in its golden and brown autumn colors.
Ok please don't hate me but here it goes :(
Omg, I just had to, sorry :P
When I saw this gorgeous red fox watching a family of birds the song just came to mind.
I really don't understand why everyone hates it. :O
These were the first two pictures that I took when I arrived at this location. While for me these were the
first spots I came upon, for others they may be the end of the journey. It all depends on what direction
you take, left or right. In the end, it really doesn't matter which way you go, one land,
two directions, one same great experience for everyone. ;)
This part of the sim is kind of hidden behind the mountains. It is a beautiful small part that for some
reason gave me a sense of being forgotten and isolated from the world, yet well deserving of recognition. Finding this particular spot comes to say that beauty can always be found even in the least expected places, even behind a mountain.
You like rope sliding, canoe trips, bike riding, check, check, check,
all this, and much more to enjoy. I always presume of being a good explorer but I am far from that.
I am sure I miss many great spots that hopefully you won't. All I can do is take pictures to share with
you but that only covers part of each sim's beauty. You need to experience the land personally to really
know what am I talking about. ;)
So finally we are done for today. Hope you enjoyed the pictures
and now it is time for you to go and take your own and share them HERE!
Don't forget to show some Linden love during your visit. All donations big and small will be greatly appreciated.
Much Love,
Lori Novo
❤
