You might not have noticed yet but a few days ago I started wearing black hair most of the time.
It is this month of September that I celebrate my mother's birthday, rest in peace. So to honor
her memory, I decided to wear black hair like hers. Her black hair was just one of the many
physical attributes that made her one of the most beautiful women you could ever meet. And I am not
just saying that because I was/am her daughter. Her beauty was noticed by many and she was
often told that she looked like a movie star. As far as I can remember, I was always in awe when
I looked at her. Sitting on the floor as a child, I remember looking up at her as she brushed or fixed her
hair and I would be totally mesmerized. And as an adult, my admiration for her beauty continued.
There was never a day that I can remember that my mother didn't look stunning.
Her hair was always beautifully fixed, she dressed elegantly and her face didn't require anything,
she was naturally beautiful, still, she wore very little makeup, mascara, blush, and a little gloss on
her lips. Now her hair she never grew it too long like mine. Hers was always a bit below shoulder
length but it was always beautifully fixed.
It is good to remember my mother and write about her, even though it makes me cry, but it also makes
me smile. So you can just imagine me sitting at my keyboard right now as I type these words
with tears in my eyes that make it hard to see a clear screen but with a smile from ear to ear. ;)
I don't mind at all crying a thousand tears for my mother when she is sending me a thousand
heavenly smiles to smile every day.
