Making Strides Against Breast Cancer- Grid Wide In October October returns to us bringing back again the power of PINK with it! It was named National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) by health advocates 28 years ago. It is the month to raise awareness of the disease and for charities to come together to raise funds for the research in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women. 1 in every 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. The best way to fight breast cancer is to detect the disease in its early stages.
