And now I walk on the lonely path with a suitcase full of memories in one hand,

and another suitcase full of dreams in the other...

It wasn't that I didn't love you enough to make you stay or to let you go.

But our journey together had come to an end, with no more road to travel.

We learned from each other what we had to learn. And just like every chapter comes to an end,

ours ended with no more space to add any more words.

But your absence doesn't erase all we once shared together when we walked hand in hand.

Sharing the same love and the same dreams, the laughter and tears.

You will find highlighted in yellow in our chapter the parts of my favorite moments of us.

And I doubled underlined the many times we said "I love you" to each other, too many to count.

Because there might still be love we both feel for each other, but sometimes love is not enough,

when the road closes in front of us, and there is no way to go.

And that is when final goodbyes are in place, with a simple handshake or a loving embrace.

A final sweet smile, and a tear in our eyes, as we begin to walk on our own,

in different directions without looking back.

And each with a suitcase full of memories in one hand.

Sometimes people are not meant to stay in our lives for too long or forever.

When a beautiful friendship begins to cause more pain than joy the best thing is to walk away.

Walk away and take only the beauty and sweetness once shared. And leave behind the hurtful words.

Good Evening Beautiful World!

Today, early in the afternoon my good friend Martian gave me a very beautiful surprise when

he started a photo blog to keep memories of his Second Life journey. I actually cried for how happy

and proud I felt for him. I hope he doesn't kick my butt tomorrow at Tai Chi when he finds out I took

the liberty of sharing it with you. ;)

Hello Beautiful World!

I sometimes tend to leave Kansas to then return with my tail between my legs like a little lost puppy.

This usually happens when I think the grass might be greener on the other side and so I run to it,

like a moth drawn to light. Sometimes it takes me a while to realize that the grass is fake, yes, shiny

and pretty, but not real. Then, I look back to my own grass and realize that "oops" my yard has the best grass

in the neighborhood. And I run back feeling very proud of my grass and I water it and watch it

grow, and grow, and grow, until very early one morning I am awakened by Steppenwolf's lawnmower

mowing my beautiful grass. Then I'm thinking, "Oh man, but it looked so pretty. >:("

But you know those neighborhood regulations where you have to keep the grass clean-cut as if it is

serving some military duty. If it was up to me I would let it grow and grow till it was as high as the

trees, then I could play there hide-n-seek with my Steppenwolf. Can you imagine how much fun that would be?

Now, I am aware that by now you all are wondering what am I talking about, "Is she ok?

She's not making any sense." I know this is just nonsense talk that at the moment I am thinking is damn

good writing, but trust me, in a day or two I'll be laughing too. So this is really for my own

amusement to save for a rainy day when I find myself in need of a good laugh. :P

Anyways, when I say that sometimes I think the grass might be greener on the other side I am not

referring to anything in particular. It is just a metaphor for Doherty's quote about Kansas.

In the film The Wizard of Oz, Kansas represents "home" for Doherty. Kansas also represents

our normal surroundings and what we are used to. When we find ourselves no longer in Kansas

it means we have stepped out into the unknown, usually into strange or/and uncomfortable situations.

Toto, I have a feeling we are at the ENCHANTMENT EVENT.

Indeed, today I wore my new beautiful Oz Doherty Full Outfit by irrISIStible

and embarked down the yellow brick road on an excitable journey full of color and wonder.

This quarterly shopping event has to be one of the most loved events in Second Life based on all that is

magical and fairy tales. This time, it opened with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Round (& Other Oz Tales),

based on the 1939, American musical film, starring Judy Garland.

Event and Hunt. Explore a bountiful emporium filled with treasures inspired by the Emerald City, from

I absolutely LOVE my new Doherty outfit by irriSIStible that you can get at the event

together with all the other characters from the film who come in complete outfits with everything you will need

from skins, hair, accessories, shoes, etc.

Doherty Outfit includes dress, stockings, hat, basket with Toto in it, and my favorite item

the sparkling red shoes.

Now the highlights of today's visit to the event.

First, when I ran into Lilia Levitsky dressed also as Doherty, it made me very happy to see that I wasn't

the only one at the event in a costume. She looked beautiful in her Doherty dress and I noticed she had

very beautiful, expressive eyes. She was very friendly and I was very happy that she accepted to be

photographed for the blog. Thank you Lilia! <3

After I had photographed Lilia, I came across a beautiful couple that I am sure many of you will

recognize. This is Kit (kit.boyd) and John Garrison (galenrovere), well-known Second Life

photographers and the sweetest and friendliest people you'll have the pleasure of running into.

I have known them both for years now from Flickr but I believe this is the first time I have actually

seen them inworld, so you can just imagine my joy. I couldn't stop smiling and I'll tell you a little

secret, I was also very nervous but very, very happy. <3

First, I forgot to ask my new victim, I mean, the person I am about to introduce to you for a song choice.

I'll be totally honest with you my beautiful people, when I noticed that Mr. Marcus was on Tempura

Island, and just a few yards away from me, I almost fainted. I was like star-struck which very rarely

happened to me in all my 13 years in Second Life. I would say that you can count with the fingers on

one hand (with fingers left) the times I had felt that thrilled to see someone of that caliber as Mr. Marcus.

Now, I knew I just had to ask him for a photograph or at least say hello, and even though I was very

nervous and felt my legs like jello, I gathered some courage to IM him. Immediately upon receiving my

IM, I noticed him typing a reply. I was at the edge of my seat waiting, feeling excited, nervous, scared,

you name it, I was feeling it all as he kept typing. What is he going to say? I wondered. I was fearing a

"Shooo, stop bothering me!" or something like that but instead, I got this...

You can just imagine my joy, seriously, I had a smile from ear to ear.

Little me getting such a kind and beautiful compliment from such an amazing giant, how can that be

possible?! But it was! Marcus Inkpen turned out to be one of the friendliest people I ever met in Second

Life. Very down-to-earth and kind. He made me feel so comfortable that I no longer felt nervous

at all, and felt as if we were two old friends having a great conversation.

Needless to say, he really made my day!

This is where I'll be featuring people wearing the most creative and artistic fashion styles in

Second Life, leaving us in awe with their fashion statement as they walk by.

Only the crème de la crème in fashion will get to catwalk through this new blog section.

And since it is their fashion style and great fashion skills that captured my eye,

I'll be including a list of the items (or most of the items) they were wearing at the time I photographed them.

This is not to copy them but to inspire you to be creative by reinventing their look with your own

A gorgeous redhead that is more like a mystery than anything else. Not much I can really share with you

about this beautiful lady since I always go by what I can read from their profiles and the only things

I could find in hers were the quote above, and her age. Still, as limited as that is, her beautiful

personality comes across when you talk to her. And honestly, who needs a profile filled with tons of

words when your sole presence can speak a thousand words for you.

As you know Daisy Jones is our second lady featured in this new section of the blog 

"The Beautiful Women Of Second Life".

For this section, I mainly look for the physical beauty of the avatars. Luckily, both of

the ladies now featured turned out to also have inner beauty which makes them the whole package.

Now, looking beautiful even in Second Life also requires work just like in real life. What makes a

beautiful-looking avatars are the many things we have to wear, from the personally preferred head to the

skin, eyes, makeup, hair, outfit, etc. but I say that the one very important thing that makes our look differ

from the rest is the shape. Ten girls, wearing the same head, and same body but all wearing different shapes,

may somehow look like they are related, still, none will be looking like twins, see what I mean?
