Hello Beautiful World!
Last night I spent some time at the Bellydance Haram Palace- Shiraz Garden, Oasis (Adult).
I love going there from time to time to dance at the palace where they have a great variety of
dance selections. I always go when there's no one around so I can truly say I dance
like nobody is watching. Not that it would matter since dancing alone has never stopped me 
and I actually enjoy it, unless my Steppenwolf is around, then I'll run to his arms to dance with him.
One of my favorite places to go dancing to when I first started Second Life was LOVERS COVE.
It was a beautiful glass platform high in the sky with many floating luminous gazebos that looked
like they were made out of glass. I would doll up in beautiful gowns and spend a couple of hours
dancing there while declining dance invitations from the men who either felt bad for me for
dancing alone or others thinking I was crazy. I really didn't care what they were thinking, 
either way, I was truly having so much fun on my own doing one of my favorite things in
Second Life, dancing. ;) By the way, I did get to buy one of the gazebos from Lovers Cove 
which I still rez from time to time. You can read about one of my trips to Lovers Cove HERE.

Another beautiful place that I loved going dancing to in my early years was at MASHOOKA.
There, I could buy beautiful Indian attire and then go belly dancing behind the store where there
was an area overlooking the ocean with a beautiful sunset, HERE. I loved that spot so much that it felt like 
home to me. My friends already knew where to find me if they saw me online, some even called it 
Lori's office. Aww, the memories of the early years, so lovely and sweet...

Steppenwolf (steppen.crescendo): omg what a vault of historical stuff you got

This is how my Steppenwolf refers to my blog since I can pull out blog posts on just about
any subject we are talking about. Last night we were talking about how it was back
many years ago when most of the people that attended Tempura knew us and many were our friends
and the fun and crazy times we would all spend together, HERE. So as you can see, my blog
 more than anything else is like my diary. A place where I save moments
lived, both happy and sad. Where I keep and cherish every single person I had the honor of featuring
in the pages of my blog. This is where I will come to when the time comes when I can no longer
return to Second Life. I will find here all the memories of a beautiful life lived that will help me
continue my life with a smile, and knowing that my life was truly touched by so many wonderful
people. One more thing before I go, I love both my lives. Neither one is an escape, but
a beautiful extension of each other. I feel very blessed and loved in both worlds. I really hope
it is the same for you. ;) Til next time, always remember, that what is done in love, is done well.
So today, be the hero in someone's life and wear your cape of kindness.

Good Evening Beautiful World!
Today, early in the afternoon my good friend Martian gave me a very beautiful surprise when
he started a photo blog to keep memories of his Second Life journey. I actually cried for how happy
and proud I felt for him. I hope he doesn't kick my butt tomorrow at Tai Chi when he finds out I took
the liberty of sharing it with you. ;)

Lori Novo: so that gave me the courage to keep going

and still think about what you wrote

My Mother Land




Hello Beautiful World!
It was the year 2010 when I first came to Second Life. A very naive, common, and simple girl that
had no idea what she was getting herself into. Immediately upon arrival, I was teleported to beautiful
India, to a magical place called Zaara (General) by my good friend Catero Revolution.

There and for days to come this place became my home where Catero very patiently taught me
everything I would need to know to survive this virtual life. I was taught how to walk straight
and not to bump or walk into walls. How to sit and move around and how to even change my clothes.
Once he felt I had learned the essentials and I felt confident, I was ready to venture out. Still, Zaara
became my home, my mother home as I like to call it since it was in this beautiful place that I gave
my first Second Life steps. By the way, I would say that while Zaara is my motherland, Tempura Island
has to be my fatherland.

Zaara has changed but still, I can see memorable parts of the beautiful place it used to be years ago.
Don't get me wrong, Zaara was and will always be as beautiful as my eyes first saw it years ago. 
Before it was huge and now it has shrunken to a smaller and cozier place. Beautiful and inviting.

A flower, by nature, is fragrant...
whether it's in a temple or a shrine,
at a brothel or a funeral
spread your fragrance!

If you are wondering about my location it is no other than my Second Life motherland  Zaara (General).
I chose to wear one of my beautiful Jodha Lehenga gowns by extraordinaire designer Zaara Kohime.

By the way, I kind of believe in reincarnation, so with that said, I strongly believe that in a
past life I was born in some place in India, please don't ask me why. I wouldn't know how to
answer that. I can only say that when it comes to India (pictures, stories, people, fashion, etc.)
everything somehow feels familiar. And the music just makes me feel at home.

Hello Beautiful World!
Don't be surprised if you ever find me at a freebie store or standing in front of a Lucky Letter Board,
I do tend to do these from time to time. It reminds me of my early years in Second Life when I was
just starting and finding new-free things to add to my inventory was one of the highlights
of my Second Life experience. I would search high and low for great group gifts, 
Lucky Letter-Chair Boards, Hunts, anything really just to see what I could find for zero Lindens. 
Still, to this day, I have many of the things I got for free many years ago. 
I cherish them like discovered treasures.

Yesterday, was one of those days.
I decided to go in search of establishments that offered freebies but in my search, I discovered
that many of the listed places no longer existed. I kept finding myself standing in the middle
of someone's living room, or empty sandy lots/lands.


But as always, when I finally teleporter to The Free Dove, I wasn't let down at all with all
the beautiful things I found. I immediately decided to put a whole outfit together with only
items I could get there, and so as I collected each new item, I would put it on, and the final
result is in these pictures. ;)

who gave me this beautiful gift that I am wearing today,  this is Chandni Lehenga Outfit by Zaara.
He was so kind as to send me the Fatpack for this beautiful outfit. Now I have every color of it to wear
depending on my mood for the day.

Today I chose red because there was a time that I was so obsessed with this color. 
Red was for many years my favorite color and even though I still love it,
 now I am more inclined toward any pastel shades.
I also chose Zaara's land to show you my beautiful gown because that is the place where I met Mark.

Mark continues to make me laugh and brighten my day every time I talk to him. All our conversations
are so funny that I tell him I could write a book just with our chats and it would probably become a best seller. 
A good title for it could be The Silly Twins.


The other day when I IMed him to say hi, he didn't reply. Later on, I came to find out that I had IMed
him at a very bad time if you know what I mean. ;) 

Mark Weinberg (markweinberg): You BOOOed me at the wrong time .. lol
Lori Novo: oh sorry, were you like...."busy"? wink wink
Mark Weinberg (markweinberg): I was making love, the last thing I wanted was to call my partner 
by your name :-P

However, he wanted to make sure that I wouldn't think that he's always in "action" when he doesn't reply to me.
But that's exactly what I am thinking now!


Zaara's beautiful sim (General) holds very sweet memories for me. This was the very first place I went to right
after I created my Second Life account and rezzed inworld. Catero Revolution had sent me a TP and for
about my first two weeks in SL, Zaara's sim was my home. That's where I practice walking in a straight line, 
make turns as I walked, and change my clothes, etc.

Now the sim has changed so much, it is probably about a fourth of what it used to be but it is still as beautiful
as before. You can still find very beautiful areas to take pictures, relax, and dance...

I had the pleasure of chatting with Pia who is a very friendly lady. She was so kind as to take time from 
her work to talk to me about the beautiful videos she records inworld.
This is her YouTube channel, please make sure you check it out, it is truly great.



You have no idea how much I am enjoying meeting all these beautiful people. I honestly wake up
every day eager to see what great things Second Life has for me. ;) 
Anyway, this post is dedicated to Mark for being such a great friend and putting up with me
which I know is not an easy job. :P
