Hello Beautiful World!

There was a time when my list of friends was so long that it would actually take me almost an hour

just to say a quick hello to each one of them and wish them a beautiful day. This was something I would

do every morning as soon as I logged into Second Life. It was important to me to let them know I loved

them and that I was glad to see them online. But for a few years now, my list of friends is down to

a very few names. Now, there is not a day that goes by that an old friend does not come to mind, and then

I find myself remembering many of the beautiful moments I got to share with them.

And I begin to wonder how they are doing and if they remember me too.

So in the chapter of their stories, I highlight their names surrounded by happy and sad faces, and with

full hearts and broken ones, because remembering a lost friend is always bittersweet. I usually find

myself smiling while tearing up. The beautiful memories remain in my heart, and I only wish they

had stayed til THE END of my story.

What a beautiful Saturday I am having in my corner of the world, I tell you.

Woke up to a small cold front, which was so much needed. Come on, it is January, and nature

has been killing the thrill of those cozy winter days. My air conditioner has been running for months

now, and it really needs a break. Yes, cold winter days down in Texas are a thrill that we Texans look

forward to every winter season after having to deal with hot oven temperatures almost all year round.

Now, it is actually pretty windy to the point that I saw a car pass by, and then I noticed there was

no one inside driving it... oooooh. Ha, just kidding. The truth is, the wind is so strong that I notice a

bunch of my neighbors' yard stuff all over mine. I'll have to go out and see what I'll be keeping

and return the rest.

So I just checked my "brrrrrrr, it's so cold and windy" weather, and this is what I found;

Hello Beautiful World!

Hope you all are having a beautiful Saturday, my favorite day of the week, and with November

being my favorite month. Now, the most perfect day for me would be a rainy Saturday, cold November day

in the arms of my Steppenwolf, watching a good movie on Netflix while drinking a delicious cup of hot

chocolate milk. But for that to happen, I'll have to wait for almost a year for November to return.

OMG, I can't wait, I am so excited!

And while speaking about favorite things, did I mention that Steppenwolf is my favorite person

in the whole wide world? Yes, that includes China, Paris, Spain, Mexico, the mountains and forests,

and every inch on the planet, etc. My Steppenwolf is the one and only, because "Baby, it's you, and it

has always been you and only you."

Thought I write a little sentiment to today's song Di Mi Nombre (Say My Name) by Rosalia.

I don't really know if today's writing qualifies as a poem, but either way, I had fun putting together

these words. Actually, I have been very tempted to write stuff like this and short stories for some

of my blog posts. We'll see.

Now, I was inspired to write the above "poem" by some of the song's lyrics, "Di mi nombre

cuando no haya nadie cerca" (Say my name when no one is around). It is easy for me to think of

something to write just by reading a sentence. I try to get into the feeling of what has been said,

the hidden emotions that can be found between the words, and then bring those emotions into

something that has some similarities to the original, but adding differences to make it my own.

Steppenwolf accuses me of reading too much into words, which is true, I can't deny it. I guess

since I love to write, words are very important to me and I can see more in a single word than some

people would. Not sure if this makes any sense. For example, one night Steppenwolf and I were

having a little argument, can't remember what it was about, anyway, he said something in

a six-word sentence and just from that simple sentence, I came up with a whole scenario that took

me three long paragraphs to write as a response to what he had just said. He couldn't stop

laughing after I was done typing and said, "Geez, you came up with all that from what I just said?"

The thing is that I tend to analyze every single word individually in a sentence and can easily write

a whole theory for each word being said. Maybe not a good thing to do, I know.

Anyway, I am enjoying the beautiful weather we are having in my little corner of the world, 

with cloudy skies, beautiful rain, and nice cool temperatures. What more can I ask for?
