Barely making it up the hill on that chill and rainy day, their yellow beat-up car finally returned home.

No parade or welcome committee was waiting for them. Not a single soul was in sight.

It was obvious that they had not been missed. Even safe to say that they were not even noticed to have

been gone in the first place. How tragic!

She stopped the car and they both looked around hoping it was all a joke. You know how people tend to

be funny sometimes. For sure they will all pop out from behind the trees to surprise

them with a warm welcome. But minutes passed, too many minutes to be honest and suddenly it hit her,

the realization, colder than the heavy rain that was falling on them provoking their bodies to

shiver, it was no joke, they had been forgotten! They had simply faded away in the time they had been

gone. Forgotten like those bills that need to get paid, forgotten like a bad poem you had to learn

in your high school days. Simply and absolutely forgotten without leaving a trace that they ever

existed. Tragic indeed.

Oh well, it could be worse!

"Come Sunny, let's go for a walk."

As they both walked under the rain their bodies continued to shiver. It was cold and yet, the rain

and chill weather were the perfect combination for a good walk to take with a faithful and loving

companion. Sunny was that to her. She stopped and looked down at him, looking into his eyes.

He was so special to her and for an instant, she thought that the name "Sunny" no longer suited him.

A name must have a special meaning, come from a beautiful memory, or to honor special people.

None applied to her Sunny anymore. "What should I call you now?" she asked as she bent down to

hug him. He licked her cheek as he wagged his tail placing his right paw on her knee.

She continued to embrace him tighter as her mind struggled to find a new and perfect name for him.

But the name "Sunny" continued to appear on top of the list refusing to go away.

"Sunny" it is, my beautiful boy!

And so she decided to rename him "Sunny", again, but with a new origin.

This time, his name came from her heart and it meant the sunshine for her dark days,

sunshine for the sunny days, and all the days in between. His name had been refreshed under the rain.

His name honors now all that is good.

She looked back, just for a split second, just to say goodbye to the past.

While it had been good for her, it had also been hard and cruel sometimes.

She was in mid-transection in her life, just half a step from a new beginning. A point where she

could see with more clarity the achievements she had earned by her actions in the past. 

Sadly not all had made any difference for her or anyone else. What a shame!

Even more sad, many of the archived ones had been fast and temporary, not leaving an enduring beautiful memory.

Was it all done for nothing? She wondered.

She and Sunny continued walking in silence under the rain. She was lost in her head,

struggling with dozens of thoughts and questions that all came simultaneously. She couldn't find answers

to most of the questions or explanations for her thoughts. Truly an utter and brutish tornado of emotions.

Finally, in the distance, behind the curtain of heavy raindrops, she saw the end of the road,

something good for some and bad for others, depending on how you have traveled through life.

For her, it was a good thing... maybe.

Reaching the end of the road, life, an era, and even a moment may cause feelings of regret or satisfaction,

again, it all depends on how you have traveled through life. For her, it mostly caused the need

to go back to the beginning, the early days when everything was new and waiting to be lived.

Thank you life for what is yet to come!

Is there a time limit when a good song stops being good because of its age? Absolutely not!

Many times you will find me sharing music as old as my grandmother and even older.

Everything from recent hits like Teddy Swims - Lose Control, to 1920's Swanee by Al Jolson.

Do my song selections in the blog make me too old or too young? Absolutely not!

Toy Soldiers

Now, about this song choice wish is a song I like very much, I first discovered Toy Soldiers by

Martika when I was a very young girl, maybe around 16 years old. I was very surprised when I first

listened to it since it had already been around for years and I was just discovering it. I immediately fell

in love with the song and thought Martika was the most precious and coolest creature on the face of the

earth. She became my idol and from that day on I looked up to her as a role model wanting to be just

like her. Then, something wonderful happened. No, I never got to meet my idol, however, my friends

and family, who knew how much I love this artist started saying that I looked like her. I am not really

sure if they really meant it or just wanted to make me happy. However, I believed them.

At the time I had very long hair, still do, most of my life I kept long hair, but after being told over and

over by my loved ones that I looked like Martika, I decided to get her hair cut, like in the video, and I

loved it! I kept the style for a good two years, trimming it as soon as it would grow a little.

Of course, my idolization moved to a new artist over the years, but I never stopped loving Martika's

music. Here's another one of my favorites from her. Have a good night everyone!

So many great names to choose from and I like them all but maybe Little Diva is the perfect name for

her since she is convinced she is a trendsetter, with the "look at me I always look so good" attitude,

glasses, and all. Anyways, It's going to take me a while to decide on the perfect name for her,

and when I do decide on one, you'll be the first ones to know. ;)

So last week I went most days as a redhead with green eyes, and I am starting this week still with

green eyes but this time I dyed my hair blonde like my beautiful friend Carmie who is just so

 ♪"Beautiful like a rainbow"♪. Carmie is my other best friend in Second Life just so you know. ;)

Yes, I feel very blessed to have two best "girly" friends that mean the world to me. ❤

Now, the blonde hair is not permanent. I really want to be able to enjoy every shade there is out there.

Why limit ourselves to only one, or two, or three?

With so many beautiful shades available to us I say, in a world where you can look/wear/do

anything you want, why limit ourselves to just a few? Expand and venture into the horizon

and enjoy life... a crazy and happy life!

This is all for now my beautiful people. Looking forward to the new week ahead

full of new adventures, laughter, and happy moments. And remember that some of the

moments we experience every day and take for granted, in the long run, they

become some of our best memories.

Going now to chase, I mean catch my elephant. ;)
