Is there a time limit when a good song stops being good because of its age? Absolutely not!

Many times you will find me sharing music as old as my grandmother and even older.

Everything from recent hits like Teddy Swims - Lose Control, to 1920's Swanee by Al Jolson.

Do my song selections in the blog make me too old or too young? Absolutely not!

Now, about this song choice wish is a song I like very much, I first discovered Toy Soldiers by

Martika when I was a very young girl, maybe around 16 years old. I was very surprised when I first

listened to it since it had already been around for years and I was just discovering it. I immediately fell

in love with the song and thought Martika was the most precious and coolest creature on the face of the

earth. She became my idol and from that day on I looked up to her as a role model wanting to be just

like her. Then, something wonderful happened. No, I never got to meet my idol, however, my friends

and family, who knew how much I love this artist started saying that I looked like her. I am not really

sure if they really meant it or just wanted to make me happy. However, I believed them.

At the time I had very long hair, still do, most of my life I kept long hair, but after being told over and

over by my loved ones that I looked like Martika, I decided to get her hair cut, like in the video, and I

loved it! I kept the style for a good two years, trimming it as soon as it would grow a little.

Of course, my idolization moved to a new artist over the years, but I never stopped loving Martika's

music. Here's another one of my favorites from her. Have a good night everyone!

The Grand Finale

Once upon a time,

in a land that can only exist in our most beautiful dreams,

a land that can only be found in the deepest part of our hearts,

where the sun always shines, where all the flowers always bloom,

and where the birds always sing...

lived a princess.

And her name was Princess Milkyway.

This princess was different from all others. She didn't think of herself as royalty,

with the need for jewels and crowns,

but found happiness in all that was simple and pure.

Like the laughter of small children, the wrinkles on the face of the elderly,

the smile from a stranger and the dawn of the new day.

Princess Milkyway would spend most of the day sleeping

in the highest part of the castle, so high in the sky that the clouds could easily dance

around her, guarding her dreams, while fairies sang lullabies to her.

In her dreams, she would fly so high that she could touch the stars at night.

And in her dreams, she could also fly anywhere...

even to her mother's arms in heaven where she would look into her eyes

and see all the love in the world, reflected in them.

During her awakening hours, Princess Milkyway

would sew blankets stitched together with threads of her love.

While she worked on these special blankets, she would never stop smiling.

"Whatever you do for others must be done in joy and love."

Her dream was to someday be able to cover her world with the blankets

so no one would ever feel sad or alone again.

Sometimes, Princess Milkyway would take walks in her garden

with the only companionship of her butterflies and birds and all the other animals that

live on the land. These were her only friends.

The princess stayed away from all people because she always felt small compared to everyone

else in the kingdom.

"I am so small in a world of giants."

When sadness would come upon her, her fragile body would be carried by all the birds and

butterflies,

up

up

up...

to the highest part of the castle, where the clouds could easily dance

around her bed, and there she would be carefully tucked in while the fairies would begin

to sing her lullabies.

Then again, the princess would go to sleep and begin to dream beautiful dreams

and her tears would go away.

"Mother, I am in your arms."

and she would smile.

Abandoned Creepy Circus Spooky Carnival Soundtrack

Hello Beautiful World!

Hope you have an amazing Wednesday. ;)  So last night I visited not exactly a haunted sim but

a shopping event that turned out to be great filled with exclusive items, discounts, and many 10L 

special deals.

This is

THE MAD CIRCUS 7 (Moderate)

which will be ending on the 31st so you must hurry and go check it out.

   

Now, don't get me wrong, even though the booths were full of great items to buy, what I was mostly

attracted to was the decor that was used for the event. I took some pictures of what I liked the most

about the decor and added the credits just in case, you know. ;)

We had such fun I tell you. I am still smiling from all the excitement.

Maybe I'll invite him again to one more before the month is over. ;)

Hello Beautiful World!

And again here I am on this, another one of my lazy Sundays.

There are just very few hours left of this week before it is time to turn the page 

to another new chapter. Aren't you excited to see what awaits us? I sure am!

This week had to be one of the hard ones, still, there were too many beautiful moments that

made me smile so by no means am I considering it a bad week. Actually, there are no bad weeks 

just bad moments that shouldn't define the whole week as a bad one, right?

Anyways, going to another subject. Today after I checked to see how my friend Suzanne was doing

since I know how stressed out she's been feeling all week juggling several big events by herself,

and as I was about to leave I said "adios" to her which is the way I always say it to everyone, 

and which means bye-bye in Spanish, and as she repeated it back to me, I suddenly realized 

something that I am sure many people don't even think about when saying "adios" to someone, 

and that is that "adios" means "with God" which means what we are truly saying when we say 

"adios" to someone, we are saying "Be with God" or "Stay with God" or "God is with you". 

now isn't that so beautiful? It is funny how often we don't realize the deeper meaning of some 

of the words that we use constantly on a daily basis.

And as I predicted yesterday, today I felt all bushy-tailed again and happy to be in Second Life.

I am excited to see what I'll be writing to you in the coming week. Maybe a love story about a beautiful

princess or maybe a funny-crazy one. How about a scary one? We'll see. I already have one for you for

my Beautiful People section and I might just come up with another new section for the blog, See how

excited I am about all these?
