Oh boy, you just got to love this Second Life of ours.

Hello my beautiful people!

I just got back from the UBER EVENT where I was greeted by the most spectacular sight

when I ran into Doggyevent00 and his cute doggie Doggyna. They were doing a public guitar performance

right in the middle of the event, leaving spectators in awe.

What is this?

Is this for real?

I bet those were the questions everyone was asking.

And all I can say is YES, this was for real and it was the highlight of my day. It put a huge smile

on my face that doesn't seem to want to go away. ;)

Not only were they the super cutest thing I've seen in a good while, but what a clever way of 

earning a few extra Lindens without having to bother people with begging IMs.

Our doggie guitar player has been in Second Life for 2 years and 1 month and

he loves cookies. And from what I can tell, he is popular with the ladies, and why wouldn't he be,

he is indeed a very talented handsome doggie. ;)

Well, now that my rest of the day has gotten 100 times better thanks to Doggyevent00 and his cute

doggie Doggyna, I am going for now my beautiful people. If you happen to go to the Uber Event

anytime soon, I really hope you get to see our guitar player still there entertaining people.

🍂 All The Fallen Leaves 🍁

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”

How splendid, a royal season dressed all in gold!

So Autumn arrived while I was away but from my window, I enjoyed watching how

the Autumn winds began to undress the trees of their leaves which had turned into rustic and golden

tones. It was such a treat to watch them so gently fall from the branches and how they slowly floated

lower and lower until they touched the ground below, covering the grass and the soil in a brown-sugary 

and cinnamony carpet. I could almost smell the season, a mixture of sweet and spicy scents,

and if I had tasted it, it would have been delicious too, I bet.

Now, with autumn we get to see one of the most beautiful rains that Mother Nature

so loveling gifts to us. That is the rain of leaves...

Autumn Leaves

🍂 It was on a beautiful

Autumn afternoon

and while driving to my mother's house

that I saw

a beautiful rain of falling leaves.

I had reached a four-way stop on the road

and while waiting for my turn to proceed

I felt the soft breeze of the afternoon.

My truck's windows were rolled down

and the music on my radio was playing very low,

letting me listen to the sound of the leaves

as they started to fall down.

The leaves from the tall trees

fell so gently over me,

it was like a magical moment

as if they had been waiting for me

to gift me such a glorious shower of nature's love.

I remained still, for a while at the corner of the road

missing my turn to proceed several times.

I couldn't part my eyes from what was happening...

I never wanted that moment to end. 🍁

This is something I wrote back in November 2018. It is a beautiful memory

of my mother's last Autumn when she was still with me.

My mother was so much like an Autumn leaf.

She floated gently during the storms in life, in full-cheerful force of kindness and beauty, in joy and hope.

My mother was beautiful in all her seasons and her falls were never falls, but reasons to thrive to live

happier, and to do better. She always managed to remain beautiful without slowing down

or giving up. She lived to the fullest all her life and her beauty never abandoned her...

🍂 I am the leaf that lives on the tree

dressed in colorful greens.

I am strong, and full of life

watching my tree's shadow 

dancing for me

with the wind.

I am that leaf,

now lying at the foot of the tree

dressed in golden and brown.

I smile as I look up at the sky

watching the birds that fly by

and feeling thankful 

for the life that I have lived. 🍁

My mother died a queen. With a crown made of jewels of joyful-memories from all the love

she gave to everyone she loved and all strangers who had the fortune of crossing paths with her.

My mother was and continues to be my biggest inspiration in life. To be strong when all

I want to say is, "Please no more." To wear a beautiful smile even in my darkest days.

And to stay golden even when I had fallen, just like an Autumn leaf.

Because Autumn leaves after they've fallen, they continue to go on, strong and beautiful

 with their new transformation that continues to capture our eyes.

It is then, when they are resting on the ground that they become treasures....

🍂 Her brown eyes began to widen as she noticed the beautiful transformation 

that now surrounded her from the last time she had been out for a walk.

As she continued, she could hear the crunching noise

her steps would make every time her boots stepped on the fallen leaves.

She stopped to look around her and noticed how beautiful

each and every leaf was, even the ones that had been damaged.

She began to collect some of these beautiful leaves,

both, the perfectly intact and the damaged ones,

placing them carefully in her white dress's pockets... 🍁

Grey skies and dead trees Somewhere in Second Life, and a beautiful couple playing music in the

middle of it all, what more can you ask for. BAYER (leeelife) and Luciano Viana (v127976) added 

entertainment to all comers in this dry land. They surely made me look twice as I walked by them

but then again, I had already spotted Luciano's orange shorts from a mile away. He was the only one

wearing a bright color that couldn't go unmissed.

OUCH, my eyes!

His orange shorts were the primary attraction to all visitors since they were the only thing that stood out

in this dry land. "What is that?" I could almost hear the people around me saying. But once you dare

get closer to them, you then would realize it was two beautiful people, in a beautiful moment, adding

color and music to the already beautiful, but colorless land.

Is this the south, where I live (South Texas)?

Where home yards are so dry that even the trees look for some shade from the hot sun?

Where temperatures can reach the three-digit degree most days during summertime, like yesterday and the

day before and the rest of the days in the past months?

Where you can fry eggs on the sidewalk and melt an ice cube in less than 10 seconds?

Where you need to take showers at least five times a day just so you won't stink like a skunk?

NO! it's not South Texas but The Dead South, that could easily be a perfect name for Cita's new

sim Somewhere.

The Dead South is a band I just discovered when I was working on my Roasted Lambs & Lazy Cats

blog post back in June. I immediately fell in love with their music and can't stop listening to them now.

This band is a group of four Canadian friends that got together back in 2012 to make folk-bluegrass

music. The band members have changed a little since they first started but their music continues to

be just as amazing as on the first day.
