Hello Beautiful World!

There was a time when my list of friends was so long that it would actually take me almost an hour

just to say a quick hello to each one of them and wish them a beautiful day. This was something I would

do every morning as soon as I logged into Second Life. It was important to me to let them know I loved

them and that I was glad to see them online. But for a few years now, my list of friends is down to

a very few names. Now, there is not a day that goes by that an old friend does not come to mind, and then

I find myself remembering many of the beautiful moments I got to share with them.

And I begin to wonder how they are doing and if they remember me too.

So in the chapter of their stories, I highlight their names surrounded by happy and sad faces, and with

full hearts and broken ones, because remembering a lost friend is always bittersweet. I usually find

myself smiling while tearing up. The beautiful memories remain in my heart, and I only wish they

had stayed til THE END of my story.

What a beautiful Saturday I am having in my corner of the world, I tell you.

Woke up to a small cold front, which was so much needed. Come on, it is January, and nature

has been killing the thrill of those cozy winter days. My air conditioner has been running for months

now, and it really needs a break. Yes, cold winter days down in Texas are a thrill that we Texans look

forward to every winter season after having to deal with hot oven temperatures almost all year round.

Now, it is actually pretty windy to the point that I saw a car pass by, and then I noticed there was

no one inside driving it... oooooh. Ha, just kidding. The truth is, the wind is so strong that I notice a

bunch of my neighbors' yard stuff all over mine. I'll have to go out and see what I'll be keeping

and return the rest.

So I just checked my "brrrrrrr, it's so cold and windy" weather, and this is what I found;

Hello Beautiful World!

Hope you all are having a beautiful Saturday, my favorite day of the week, and with November

being my favorite month. Now, the most perfect day for me would be a rainy Saturday, cold November day

in the arms of my Steppenwolf, watching a good movie on Netflix while drinking a delicious cup of hot

chocolate milk. But for that to happen, I'll have to wait for almost a year for November to return.

OMG, I can't wait, I am so excited!

And while speaking about favorite things, did I mention that Steppenwolf is my favorite person

in the whole wide world? Yes, that includes China, Paris, Spain, Mexico, the mountains and forests,

and every inch on the planet, etc. My Steppenwolf is the one and only, because "Baby, it's you, and it

has always been you and only you."

Hello Beautiful World!

Today, I looked deep into my heart, and I found a universe of answers to all the questions I had.

The answers were in the form of emotions, so powerful and beautiful, while others were just as powerful

but cloaked in fibers of darkness. The answers were powerful forces that would shape

my whole future, depending on which way I wanted to hear the answers.

Everything from love to hate, from light to darkness, and from kindness to cruelty.

I found answers to help me either to grow and prosper, or to wither in agony until I would find death.

There were tools provided in the answers; kind hands to help and save lives,

or hands to hold weapons of destruction. Eyes to see mercifully and all the beauty in every single

being that stands on the Earth. Or eyes full of hate and vengeance, ready to destroy and steal

what is meant to be shared with others. A mouth cascading with words of kindness, uplifting,

praise, and encouragement, or a mouth spitting fierce fire, cursing, judging, and ridiculing.

I found everything within the walls of my heart. Everything I could possibly need to shape

my life and who I wanted to be in this world. But one thing that I found that was most precious

was the knowledge to know the differences between all the answers. There, like a shining bright

star, in the center of everything, knowledge and the freedom to choose sat quietly.

Hello Beautiful World!

As I sit writing these words, I feel overwhelmed by the beautiful peace

that embraces me. And I come to feel the need to learn to love myself better, body, mind, and soul.

To embrace my blessings, to forgive my faults, to celebrate my victories, big or small.

Once I learn and practice day by day the exercise of loving myself better, then I will be able

to love others more greatly with a love free of judgment. With a love full of acceptance and compassion,

just as we are meant to do.

There is no selfishness in loving ourselves first. 

Just like the candle needs the flame to remain lit to give light all around,

and the apple tree needs to be watered to grow the sweet fruit for others to enjoy,

one must take care of oneself before loving others.

The foundation that supports everything around us must be taken care of first.

We are the foundation and the root of our existence. If we neglect our foundation,

we can't truly and fully help or love those around us.

From this moment on, every thought, decision, and act will be a positive reinforcement of

love for myself with the acknowledgment that I AM special since the moment I was placed on this

earth. That there is only one of me in the world, and I will make the best version of myself

to help me grow to be kind in the world.
