Little Greasy Monkey



Hello Beautiful World!
My favorite pictures to take are those that involve cars. I have been fascinated by cars
since childhood, long before hitting my teen years. My first car was very old and bright orange,
yes, I know, I know, but I loved it so much. I even loved it when the driver's side window was broken
after being hit by a truck while I was driving. I had no money to replace the window since the man
who hit me took off before I was able to collect any information from him. I drove my bright orange car
for weeks with the broken window while I saved enough to have it replaced. This happened during the
rainy season, so I had a clear plastic bag covering the window. It was really very difficult to drive in
those conditions since I had to keep one hand holding the plastic so it wouldn't fly away, and the other
hand on the steering wheel. Many times, I would just remove the plastic, fold it neatly, and throw it into
the glove compartment, and just get wet. I really never minded that; it actually felt good, and they were
very enjoyable rides. I would walk into stores, etc., soaking wet and with a big smile on my face. ;)
But my love for cars is bigger than the norm; it really goes deeper than that...

who would go fix my car at my house, and i liked watching him, what he was doing to my car

Lori Novo: yeah, but I even liked that part

'Til The Day That I Die


 Inspiration comes and goes like ocean waves. Sometimes they magnificently crash ashore,
bursting into the air in a beautiful cascade of foamy drops, and other times,
the waves move too slowly to be even noticed or felt.

Today was like one of those days when the water was standing still. No inspiration at all.
Not a clue what I could write about in this blog post. Maybe just the picture and a quote.
That was until I looked out my window and noticed a cute couple across the street in the park.
I liked the way the young man was holding the girl. Like protective and proud. As if letting the
world know, "She is my world, no one can hurt her." I smiled because that is the way my
Steppenwolf makes me feel when I am in his arms. I kept watching the couple as they talked while
looking into each other's eyes without letting go of the warmth of their embrace.
Suddenly, they started dancing!
It was beautiful to watch. It wasn't a simple dance, but a waltz, with graceful spins and dips, and
occasional kisses. They kept dancing while people walked by and children played. I am not sure if
they had some music playing or not, since I couldn't hear from where I was. But I am sure they didn't
care if they didn't. Really, who needs music when you can dance to the beats of two hearts in love? My
Steppenwolf and I do that often. So I know how she was feeling. She was feeling so loved, special, and
beautiful. I wanted to keep watching them in their beautiful moment, but really, I needed to respect the
beautiful moment that they were having. Still, their love in that moment gifted me a smile
that has lasted the whole day.

What a beautiful Saturday I am having in my corner of the world, I tell you.
Woke up to a small cold front, which was so much needed. Come on, it is January, and nature
has been killing the thrill of those cozy winter days. My air conditioner has been running for months
now, and it really needs a break. Yes, cold winter days down in Texas are a thrill that we Texans look
forward to every winter season after having to deal with hot oven temperatures almost all year round.
Now, it is actually pretty windy to the point that I saw a car pass by, and then I noticed there was
no one inside driving it... oooooh. Ha, just kidding. The truth is, the wind is so strong that I notice a
bunch of my neighbors' yard stuff all over mine. I'll have to go out and see what I'll be keeping
and return the rest.

So I just checked my "brrrrrrr, it's so cold and windy" weather, and this is what I found;

Hello Beautiful World!
Hope you all are having a beautiful Saturday, my favorite day of the week, and with November
being my favorite month. Now, the most perfect day for me would be a rainy Saturday, cold November day
in the arms of my Steppenwolf, watching a good movie on Netflix while drinking a delicious cup of hot
chocolate milk. But for that to happen, I'll have to wait for almost a year for November to return.
OMG, I can't wait, I am so excited!
And while speaking about favorite things, did I mention that Steppenwolf is my favorite person
in the whole wide world? Yes, that includes China, Paris, Spain, Mexico, the mountains and forests,
and every inch on the planet, etc. My Steppenwolf is the one and only, because "Baby, it's you, and it
has always been you and only you."

Last night my Steppenwolf returned home from his business trip and eager to see me.
I, of course, couldn't contain my joy and ran into his arms, holding him so, so tight
until he began to turn red and I had no choice but to release him. Now, comes the part where
we have to make up for lost time... in every way possible. (Winks)

A Test Of Life


Hello Beautiful World!
Sometimes we invite situations or people into our lives with the hope that something wonderful
and beautiful will prosper with time. However, that is not always the case. While we have the power
within ourselves to make the decisions in our lives that can affect our lives either beautifully and positively
or in the worst possible way, unfortunately, the outcome of our decision is unknown to us
at the moment we greet and welcome them with a yes or a no. The results of those decisions will only
unfold before us once they have entered into our lives but by then, the results can be too late to be reversed.

The above quote by Harrison Ford is from this year's Super Bowl. One of the most beautiful
commercials I have ever watched. The monologue in the ad carries so much positivity and
a beautiful message to live by...



It is always very easy to preach kindness and acceptance and forgiveness and all those beautiful
things that all humans should live by, but it is another thing to actually live by what we preach.
I have always been a strong believer that all things that happen to us in our lives happen for a reason
and that is to teach us a lesson to be better, do better, and live a better life. But until recently I realized
that when things happen to us, it doesn't necessarily mean they are happening to teach us something,
but they can also be happening to test us. To test our character, morals, faith, and what
we stand for because we tend to forget what is really important in life.

I had forgotten for a moment the virtues of understanding and patience.
And once I re-enforced these two into my heart and mind again I began to feel peace and joy once again.
I no longer felt the need to try and find the answer to what was clouding my days. All I had
to do was to accept the fact that people are not all the same so we can not expect other people's actions to
be the same as ours. I also had to remember that patience in life will bring peace, and forgiveness, joy.
Once I was back on track, my life returned to its natural happy and peaceful state.

I prioritized the blessings in my life, starting with what is most important, my loved ones,
and working my way down on my list. And in the process, I realized two very important things
that really made me go WOW.

First, I acknowledge all the love I am surrounded by, both in real life and Second Life. I have a roof over my head
and food on my table. I get the joy of waking up every day to see the sun and rest my head on my soft
pillows to dream sweet dreams every night. And since I don't need much (materialistic) to be happy in
life I can honestly say that with what I have, I am a millionaire.

The second thing I realized was, that what had been bothering me these past days to the point
of forgetting some of the virtues I try to live by didn't even made it into my list of blessings.
It was simply nothing compared to everything else I already have in my life.
So yes, that was a big WOW and a slap on the face. It was life that had come to the rescue,
to test me, to make sure I could still be patient and understand and move on
to live the life I am meant to live, happy and full of love!
