Tesoro Mio

“There I were,
Talking to you
in the language of sunsets.
I wanted to hold
that luminous wind in my hair,
to burst across the horizons and glow.
There you were,
like a minute flowing out of an hour,
In the big air,
Separating me from myself.”
― Monica Laura Rapeanu

...and he said to me,
"I love you. I love you with all my heart. You are my world, my heart, my everything.
And I can't live without you. You are the air that I breathe, the heartbeat that lets me know I am still alive.
but...
I still think of her and the beautiful moments we shared together. Her memory visits me in the shadows
of my loneliness when I sit alone, and you are not here..."

Hello Beautiful World!
Some people only know one way to love, and that is with the intensity of a hundred years.
Absence in time doesn't erase the feelings of that love, even if it ended in much pain.
The memories of what once was will always remain in the back of the heart, like faded photos
and words almost forgotten. But the joy, the love, and the pain once felt will always remain tattooed
to our lives. We can cover them and hide them, but they can't be erased.
Both my mother and my grandmother loved this way. They gave their heart once, and continued
to love from that moment on til their last breath, through time and a lifetime of absence.

Thank For Reading!
Much love,
Lori Novo
