Dear Second Life,
Long day today but very special.
Today we celebrated my daughter's high school graduation.
It was both, physically and emotionally hard on me.
I am not used to a high-speed up day, I like to take it slow and enjoy every second of it.
But today there was really not a moment for a breather until everything was over but by then I was too
tired to function properly. So I decided to take a small nap to regain strength but instead
ended up sleeping for over four hours.
Now I believe my whole exhaustion was more emotional than anything else.
It had finally and truly hit me...
My daughter will be leaving soon our home!
I am very proud of my daughter and very excited for her future because I see that she is following
the right path in life to create a much better future for herself and live her dream, but I still can't help
feeling a sense of loss and feeling sad.
But this is life,
God blesses us with our beautiful children, trusting them in our hands to love them,
protect them, guide them and prepare them for the moment when they will be ready to open up their wings
and fly on their own. And my daughter is ready for that, I just hope she always remembers to look in our
direction for that guiding light back to the nest when she is in need of her mami's hug.
