A Step Into Roche

Let's begin by setting the mood with this beautiful melody...

EXPLORING SECOND LIFE

ROCHE
(Mature)

It's been a while sine I have done any Exploring SL posts and I do apologize for this. We shouldn't  forget all those beautiful Sims that are so wonderfully created by our very talented Second Life artists. So yesterday feeling that an Exploring SL post was well overdue, I decided to look into my pile of Land Marks and see what I could find to share with you. Going down my long list of Sims, I stumbled upon this particular one, Roche.
The Stone Bridge
THE STONE BRIDGE

This beautiful pastoral island will capture your eye immediately upon arrival thanks to the solitude and tranquility that it has to offer.  This is what I consider an "open" landscape that lets you breath. It is mostly green pastures with only a few scattered buildings standing along side the beaten path.
House On The Hill
HOUSE ON THE HILLS

Urban sounds are too far away from this beautiful island to disturb the peace.  The singing of the birds and the ducks can be easily appreciated as they provide a "nature's music" to the ear.

There is a misty air that lingers on the long path, along the ocean side, where groups of tall trees have already shadded their leaves and stand tall and beautiful reaching high into the blue sky.

Now, not everything that you see at first glance is all there is. Behind the rocky mountains, and not to far away from shore, a smaller island timidly hides from view. It is very small and yet it complements Roche's island appeal.

It seems time stood still and has been hard on what stands on the ground. The buildings appear to have bean beaten up by time and yet they preserve a melancholy beauty. Still, in spite of their appearance, a light touch of the modern world blends and mixes perfectly together in each one of them providing an inviting feeling.

For what I gathered, Roche has been around for a while, yet I am pretty sure that there are still many people out there just like me that were/are not aware of its existence. Please take the time to visit this island that was created with a vision of the the past by artist ddsm2 Mathy.
