All Alone Am I

What is the worse loneliness but the one we carry in our hearts. How many times have you been in a room filled with people and yet the room feels empty and cold. People laugh and talk all around you but all you hear is the quiet emptiness echoing in your ears. People call out for you, and you find yourself being forced to smile to avoid the tears.

Filling the emptiness/loneliness in our hearts is hard to do. Especially when we think that it is up to other people to fulfill it. It is not their job... only we can and the only way is to keep our hearts open, open to everything that is positive.

Welcome any and every little "happenings" in your day. Keep your eyes open for all the beauty all around you. There is beauty even in the way a leaf falls from the tree or in the way the flying bird makes its landing. Smile and greet the people you meet everyday. Listen to their stories and what they have to say.

These things will help you keep that door open and beat the loneliness out of your hearts. By the time you know it, your heart will be filled with special moments, beautiful memories and great friends and there will no longer be room for the loneliness to dwell in it.
