With wide open arms, she flew up to the sky
leaving behind a trail of golden glitter as she went higher and higher.
Among all the stars in the night sky, there was one that was the brightest,
beautiful and mystical,
splendor of light and peace.
Her joyous smile resonated with love and eagerness to reach the shining star
as she continued her journey into the glorious sky
among an ocean so glittering.
The distance between her and the shining star became smaller and smaller
until she finally reached it.
Standing before the bright star and blinded by its radiant beauty
she stretched her arms to the star and opened her hands filled with millions of butterflies
who fluttered into the night sky and began to dance with the stars
a melody so grand and glorious,
composed with notes of love.
I stand before you with all my love in my hands
With everything that I was and everything that I am.
The star held her hands and looking into her eyes it said.
You have flown very far and very high just to be by my side
but I wasn't shining for you, I was shining for the night.
Tears appeared in the corner of her eyes
as her smile faded away.
She no longer wanted to fly.
She no longer wanted to reach for the stars.
And every day at nighttime, she would cover her window.
She would walk looking down, not daring to look at the night sky.
In deep sleep one night she was
when her body began to ascend from the soft covers of her bed
going higher and higher, into an ocean so glittering.
She opened her eyes and found herself,
surrounded by all the stars in the sky.
The brightest star appeared and with a warm embrace welcomed her.
You are finally home, it said to her, Now you are one of us. Go light
the night sky. Light the way for those who are lost. Show them the beauty
that can still be found in the darkness.
And since that night a comet can sometimes be seen,
lighting its way into the sky.
Leaving behind a trail of golden glitter
that falls down to the ground like a soft rain.
Spreading love for the world
and bringing peace and joy in every raindrop.
