Hello Beautiful World!

I love today's quote just as much as I love the song, even though both send a totally different

message. The quote is very inspiring, and it encourages us to not let the opinion of others have

any impact on our lives and who we are. Stay in our own lane, doing our own thing, and not

worrying about what someone else is doing. Their actions and choices are irrelevant to our lives

and don't take away or add anything to them, so why should we worry? Now the song, 

on the contrary, talks about holding a grudge, where even Jesus is involved in the two

women's feud. I found the song earlier today while listening to my Country radio,

and it made me laugh so much. Thought I'd share it with you. ;)

Hello Beautiful World!

I wish I was clever enough to write beautiful song lyrics that tell my story and can travel

deep inside to the heart. But I am not that clever, I am just a simple

girl that loves to write simple words and hope for the best. However, I am guilty of still trying 

to compose a song occasionally.

Chorus

"We were beautiful once

just you and I against the world

and with me, I take our dreams and forever."

Those are some words I put together as the chorus for a hopefully, good song that I was inspired

to write down on a night I was feeling very heartbroken. At that moment I really felt it could be a good 

melody once I came up with the music for the lyrics I had written. But then a couple of days later, my heart

healed super fast so there was no need for such a song anymore. :P It is funny how sadness and pain

can inspire some of the most beautiful things to be written and created. And as I always say,

for some strange reason I find beauty in sadness and tears.

Beautiful lyrics, indeed, won't you agree?

So poetic, but if you know me well by now, you would know how much I love this

type of music. Steppenwolf always makes fun of me saying that I am attracted to 

dark and sad songs and he's not wrong.

Anyway, let me share again something about me that I shared a long time ago.

At 6 months old I became very ill and I actually died, I was pronounced dead by the doctor

who had tried to save my life. As the doctor and the nurses walked away to give my mother

some time to say goodbye, she embraced my tiny body in her arms and cried asking God not

to take me. And I opened my eyes again, and here I am. So I like to believe that I was born twice

into this world, the first time on November 2nd which is the day the dead are celebrated in 

Mexico and the second time on that night in my mother's arms.

I have never been a healthy person due to that illness that almost took me that night,

and though I have lived a life full of physical pain and with the years my condition continues to 

worsen, I am thankful to be alive. I find life beautiful even with all the pain I have lived with

during my lifetime.

All the years I have lived after I opened my eyes again in my mother's arms on that day

have been a gift and a miracle that I am so thankful for. 

And every day that I get to wake up to see my children's smiles and to hear 

an "I love you" from Steppenwolf, or see another sunrise or a sunset, and feel the rain,

these, my friends, are the things that I didn't miss because for some reason I got a second

chance to stay in this world!
