Hello!

So good to hear your voice for the very first time. ❤

I walked in straight to the bar where he stood watching me attentively from behind the counter.

I pretended not to notice even though there were trillions of nervous butterflies dancing in my stomach.

My hands were sweaty and my legs were getting weak, still, I tried to provocatively sway my hips 

from side to side and made sure my flirting looked natural. But who was I kidding? 

I was probably wobbling like a duck. Still, I could feel his stare on me. 

I turned and surprisingly he smiled and greeted me with a warm "hello", what a shocker! 

Never before had I heard his voice. Usually, our eyes met for a quick second and then we looked away.

The attraction was there but our shyness kept us from getting to know each other all these months.

"Hello!" I replied with a smile, hoping he didn't notice my shaky voice. Our eyes met again 

but this time they locked on to each other. Maybe a minute passed, maybe two, who knows, 

neither one of us was keeping track of time. We were just silently lost in each other's eyes 

and it felt good.

"What are you doing?" I asked, breaking the magical moment. God, why did I ask that question? 

I am so dumb. "I like looking at you, don't you know it?" he answered back with a wink. 

I smiled and then I started walking away. I hurried to the door, I was happy but I was nervous, 

so nervous that I did not know how to respond to him. Once I stepped foot outside, 

I regretted ending the moment so awkwardly. 

"What must he be thinking of me now?' I wondered.

Before crossing the street, I stopped and took a last peek through the window at this stranger 

that had made my heartbeat raise every time my eyes met his. And there he was, behind the counter, 

still looking at me and smiling back.

I smiled back and I knew that the next time I saw him, he would be looking at me as I walk in, 

smile as our eyes lock on each other and again I would hear his voice saying "Hello!"
