Being the mother of two beautiful children is my greatest joy and blessing in life.
Motherhood is absolutely an amazing journey for me that I wouldn't trade for
anything in this world. Seeing my kids grow up so healthy and pure at heart fills me
with great joy and a big sense of pride. They are my reason for living and my biggest love.
Each day I give thanks to our Lord for the beautiful privilege for trusting them in my hands.
I only pray that I am doing a good job in the way I am raising them and that they'll grow up
to be kind and generous human beings. I hope that their purpose in life will be to help others
and that they never cease to feel compassion for someone in need.
As I am writing this, I can't help having a few tears roll down my cheeks.
Who can blame me, I am a hopeless sentimental that is never afraid or ashamed
to let her emotions show either with a tear or a smile and the love from my children
never fails to tickle my heart with the most beautiful feelings.
I still remember their little faces when they were younger,
My daughter with her curly long hair covering most of her sweet face
and my son with those beautiful eyes that stood out from his chubby little face.
Their laughter always filled our home with the most beautiful music
my ears had ever heard before.
I remember that when I was carrying them in my tummy, I would read to them.
I had many beautiful children's books which I started collecting as soon as I learned
I was pregnant and I would read as I was lying down and caressed my stomach so they
would know that I was reading for them. As they were growing, I kept reading to them
and never stopped, now my kids biggest passion in life are books!
Now the three of us spend at least one hour everyday cuddled up reading.
This time is very special for us since we are doing something we three love so much...
reading! Once my children are ready to leave the home I know they will take with
them the beautiful memory of those very special moments and their love for books.
There is a very special book that my kids and I love very much and every time
we read it, it makes me cry. The title of this beautiful book is
written by Robert Munsch. I encourage all of you parents out there to get it
and read it together with your child.
One thing I would do with my children once they started learning how to read
was that we would each take turns reading a paragraph or a page from a book
we had chosen for the day. You'll be surprised of how this beautiful way
of spending time with your child and involving them in the reading will be
very beneficial to them in the long run.
Take the time to create beautiful memories with your child.
Any time spent with them it is truly a blessing.
