Dear Second Life,
Believe it or not, history was my favorite subject as a child
but with time, my interest to learn past events extended beyond my Texas and USA history books.
I found myself making frequent visits to my school's and public library to check out historical books
from all over the world. Just in case you are wondering, my other two favorite subjects were
religion and art appreciation. That left mathematics at the bottom of my list.
What can I say, me and numbers just don't add up ;)
Anyways,
reading, searching the net, and watching documentaries on TV on my three top subjects
have always been a high interest for me. But not long ago I discovered on Comedy Central
a new way to learn our country's history narrated by famous guests of the hit series
every Tuesday at 10/9C.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SERIES
Based on the award-winning and wildly popular web series,
Drunk History is the liquored-up narration of our nation's history.
Host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of inebriated storytellers
and top actors and comedians, travels across the country to reenact the rich tales
that every city in this land has to offer. Booze helps bring out the truth.
It's just that sometimes the truth is a little incoherent.
