Come Away With Me

This is my favorite photo of all time. I took it back in August 18, 2011.  It was taken in a place of solitude in the clouds. Catero Revolution had sent me the landmark with a little message that went something like this... "I found a place for you that I know you'll love." Once I got there, all I saw was green pasture and big fish floating in the air. Wish I could remember the name.

I did like it indeed! I liked it so much that I continue visiting it for a while. I went alone most of the times just by the few times that my good friend Andy accompanied me. Sitting on top of one of the many floating fish, we would take our shoes off and talk for hours.

This was my place to run to whenever I was in need of being alone, away from everything and everyone. There were no flowers or trees only the green grass and the floating fish... and me.

I have discovered that photography is something I enjoy more than writing in Second Life. I truly believe that a photo can say a million words.  That is why I am determined to learn as much as I can in SL photography. I still have a long way ahead of me to cover but that doesn't scare me nor will it stop me. Hey, I have a whole lifetime ahead of me for this and there is no rush.

You will be seeing a lot of photos posted in this blog with not much written under them.  I want this to be known as Lori Novo's Gallery. I however want to title each photo and perhaps add a quote, lyrics from a song and in some occasions, what is my interpretation for the photo.

I am actually very excited about this. 

There are endless possibilities of what I can do playing around with wardrobe, poses and the many amazing places that exist in SL. 

Rebirth will be the first photo for my LNG (Lori Novo's Gallery). I took this photo yesterday not certain if I was going to have the courage to actually use it for this post. Exposing my pixel's nude body was something I thought I could never do. However,  I was very careful not to create an image of sexual content. I am very aware that many people view a nude body as sexual but it is actually not especially when a photo is taken respectfully.

I have named this photo Rebirth because I see it as a new beginning. A new beginning in my goals for this blog. I no longer want to be afraid when it comes to the photos I take. Fear only sets limitations to our abilities. I am denuding my body off all the fears that have been keeping me from becoming the best  in whatever I choose to do. Once having shed my body from all the fears and negativity, the true me can emerge. 

In this gallery I want only my favorite photos to be included. That is why you may be seeing some from previous posts. There are many from the past that I love so much that I feel deserve to be added. Now that I am slowly learning how to better edit a photo, I feel the need to give those photos a little love with my brush ;)

My love for hair started when I started my Second Life. It was actually one of my first loves. Now, my love for participating in hunts  started not to long ago. At first the idea of running around in search in finding hidden prizes didn't sound too appealing to me  but after succeeding in my three first locations of the Cafe Hunt,  I had already become a true hunter. I could feel the  anticipation of proceeding to the next location and so on.  Hunts are also a great way of finding new great stores and items that I didn't know existed.

The good old Otis Gregan, such a good friend.
He enjoyed so much watching me while I work. The only problem was that he constantly kept getting in the way.... LOL.

My dear Andy was another great friend that I enjoyed so much his company.
He would watch me work, keeping very silent from a distance. Very patient he would wait until I was done and then...
we both would take our shoes off to dance we would go.
Taking our shoes off while we were together was kind of a rule we had.
He knew how much I love to be barefoot that he decided to join me <3

A Great Week

I am feeling sooo lazy today :(

This here is my beautiful SL sister Poppy. We were at Vita's Boudoir having a great time with Vitabela Dubrovna and Bella Donna when suddenly, my lovely sister decided to give herself a new look. She made me laugh so much :P

My Love For Fashion

The thrilled of experimenting and putting together an amazing look not only in fashion but in a total package of hair and makeup is what makes Second Life so exciting to many of us. Making heads turn as we walk into a place and causing total awwwness... isn't that what many women are striving for?

I like playing around with my inventory and picking items from different outfits and then putting them all together to create what I think will be a fashion statement that hopefully will make me out stand from the crowd and define who I am to the rest.

The simplest dress can be transformed into an amazing piece of art just by using a little creativity and playing around with what you already have.  Don't be afraid to mix and match a gown's skirt with another dress's top. You will be pleasantly shocked most times with the results.

I also just started experimenting with different skins and makeup. A good skin used as a base will make the cheapest makeup in the market look like a million dollars.

Hair as you all know by now, was my passion at the beginning of my Second Life journey. Now my passion has extended to everything and anything that is fashion related. Shoes, jewelry, skins, lingerie, you name it, I got it by the dozens.

I am starting to recognize the creations of many of my favorite SL designers. It has become sort of a game to me, which rarely I lose. I often, just by seeing a gown or outfit or even a hairstyle, can guess what designer is it from, and as I said before, I usually get it right.

Is this a talent?
Not at all!
It is just my appreciation and total admiration for what is well done...

Robson de Paula Heckert
was born with mental retardation, since he is seven years he started treatment in institutions, taking medicines.
The drugs never improved their autonomy and self security That for Robson is being a menace to himself and others of his family with his 6 feet's and 14 years old,it means that drug are no solution,for him anymore.
But there is a surgical solution called psicocirurgia.
As the competente governmental organs do not help we're doing this campaign on facebook, Second Life, blogs, the return of this campaign is being unbelievable, we want to thank everyone for this great help..We really hope that Robson can do this surgery and have a better quality of life, and we can do a difference in Robson’s life and be Always committed we good charity.
