Sooo...

I wasn't planning on posting for today and was just going to enjoy my day eating lots of Milky Ways.

Aedooo, did you hear that?!!!

I am eating a Milkyway right now and it's sooo yummy! :P

OMG, I just remembered I promised him a long time ago that I would be sending a single Milky Way

bar all nicely wrapped in a pretty red box all the way to Italy for him.

Anyways, the one that I feel sorry for is my poor Ocean who is gonna have a hard time putting up with

me thanks to all this sugar intake that is already making me so hyper. I bet that by midnight I'll have

driven him insane! But then again I think the man loves it when I am in a hyper mood since I have extra

energy for all our ummm, activities. ;)

Ocean, Trick or Treat, give me something YUMMY to eat!

Anyways AGAIN! :P

I couldn't decide which costume to wear for the day. I had a few options and all were great but wasn't

sure if that was the way I wanted to go. It was between wearing a costume that was all perfectly put

together by some great Second Life designer or creating one on my own with a more meaningful

message than just, "Hey look how scary I look!".

So after a few debating minutes about what to wear, using my creativity and fashion skills overruled :P

Black hat with brown boots, what bad color coordination, right?

NOT! Sorry for the caps but I got overly excited.

OMG Ocean, did you just hear that?! ;)

Anyways there is a good reason for all this crazy mixture of colors.

The black witch's hat represents Halloween. You know, the scary part of the day.

BTW, the hat is actually a Group Gift that I just picked up a few minutes ago from LUPOAICA and it's the SADIE-HALLOWEEN which comes with a HUD to change hat or hair color. I absolutely looove it

The brown boots represent MILKY WAYS!!!

Or in another word, the sweets that we all are stuffing ourselves with for the day :P

Now the pink is the most important color of all three.

It represents our fight against Breast Cancer.

Please remember that the fight continues and shouldn't be forgotten even after this month.

Today I had for a companion the singing bird Sweet G (Grubby) gave to me almost a year ago.

I remember very well the day when I told him I wanted a bird that would sing to me. The next thing I

know, this beautiful bird was delivered to me. My bird had been lost in my inventory for a while.

Luckily today I finally found it again and couldn't believe my luck :)

Last night while taking a peek in my inventory I found my Golden Fairy gown  from GizzA and thought it would go perfect with the new Group Gift I picked up at Vendome Jewelry. This great group gift became available just a few days ago and it's absolutely stunning.  It is the Vendome RA Gold and it includes the necklace, earrings and ring and there is no fee to join the group.

Another group gift you can get are the nails I am wearing from [Bamboo] Nails and trust me, they are WOW! They come with this great hud that allowes you to change , color, size and length each nail individually. I absolutely love them.

I am wearing Exa, which is a hair attachment from PurpleMoon (Not Free).

Now, my face tattoo comes from Madrid Solo and it's The Element (Not Free). I should really take a close-up shot of it to do it some justice since in these photos you can't really  appreciate the beauty of it.

Now what better location for these photos than the beautiful golden ballroom at Tempura Island that, by the way, I still owe you a few posts showing you around all those beautiful and romantic spots that many people are not aware that exist in this island. If you remember, we got to explore the Golden Ballroom and a Love Room with the help of Bibo Novo. Still we have a lot of ground to cover but with the Ocean's collaboration we will continue our magical journey in beautiful Tempura ;)

Pretty Farts

Please know that Ocean always makes fun of my dresses that have flowers on the lower back. He'll say something like... "My angel, you are farting flowers!" 
So last night the story went a bit different.

So I just finished watching Tortilla Soup starting Hector Elizondo and now I can't get this "Perhaps" song out of my head. 

Now you'll know what song I'll be listening to all day loooong :P

The top and bottom photos were taken at our roof-top patio that Ocean made for us. We always have the greatest time up there. We have it set with a huge dance floor, a bar fully loaded, a BBQ area set with table and seats of course :P, a more intimate and private area with red wine, champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, and then of course, a jacuzzi area. Everything was very carefully chosen and have tremendous pose menus ;)

However, once in a while we find strangers breaking into our home like this rodent that I found in our jacuzzi. Ocean was about to shoot it when we realize that it was just Lucy (Kuro Okami) wearing a new Avatar.

There are many different ways a man can show the woman he loves how much she means to him. This is how Ocean shows me his love for me everyday, every minute and every second of the day... All I need to do is look into his eyes and he knows what I am feeling and what is that I need at that moment. All I need to do is say a single word and he can sense my mood. All I need to do is ask and he will go out of his way to please me.

A place that he has created just for me with so much love. It is magical and peaceful. In my garden it will always be spring and the butterflies will always dance to the sound of Ocean's blue music. Where my two bunnies can play hide and seek among the flowers and cuddle-up with us when we lay under a blossom tree in each others arms.

Day Of The Dead

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

"Dia de los Muertos" is a Mexican celebration. 

It is believed that the spirits of our departed loved ones come to visit us 

from October 31 to November 2nd.

 Altars are many times set up at homes with the photos of the departed and offerings 

of what they use to enjoy when they were alive are placed there. 

Their favorite foods are prepared and are placed on these altars.

 Pan De Muerto, candles, incense, their favorite candies, and sometimes cigarettes 

and even Tequila are examples of some of the offerings. 

Cemeteries during these days are colorfully decorated with fresh flowers and papel picado.  

Eating sugar skulls and visiting the cemetery with skull makeup 

is a big part of this tradition, like spending all day by the grave of a loved one. 

Many will go prepared with food and blankets and will spend even the whole night there.

Day of the Dead is just around the corner and it brings not only my birthday but also a whole bunch 

of childhood memories. Memories about the times when my grandmother, my mother and I 

would spend a whole day at the cemetery back in Mexico. 

Visiting grave after grave of our dead relatives and spending the whole day at the cemetery 

was part of our Dia de Los Muertos tradition.  

The cemetery during those days looked more like a festive garden. 

Bright-colored decorations hanging from trees and most graves completely covered in multi-colored

flowers is one thing that I can still remember very vividly. 

Music, laughter, and a sad sob somewhere among the graves was what filled the air 

together with the smell of the flowers and of the delicious street food. 

Buying a sugar cane for each one of us and then walking around the cemetery sucking 

the sweet juice out of it was also a tradition for us. But for me, the highlight of that day 

was not that it was my birthday, but to find the prettiest sugar skull with my name on it 

among all the vendor stands that were filled with flowers, Mexican candies, arts, and pottery, 

and so on.

Dia de Los Muertos is a celebration, a joyous day when our dearly departed are believed 

to come and spend that time with us, enjoying what they used to in life.
